Sibikwa Arts Centre, in partnership with the renowned French company Theatre du Soleil and supported by the French Institute of South Africa, the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, the French Institute in Paris and the City of Paris, is presenting interactive promenade schools’ performances of 1789 on 19 – 21 July 2023. We invite teachers and learners in Grades 8 to 12 to embark on an extraordinary journey through time with our immersive theatrical production, 1789: The French Revolution. Prepare to be captivated as we bring to life the epic tale of one of history’s most influential events and explore the revolutionary ideas that continue to shape our world today.
