Sibikwa Arts Centre, based in Benoni, Ekurhuleni Metro, is a Centre of Excellence committed to providing quality arts education and training, creating and presenting world-class productions, and advocating for the advancement of the creative and cultural industries. We are seeking 1 young creative to join our organization as a design and marketing intern as part of a First Job internship programme.

Candidates must have a completed qualification in Graphic Design to design marketing material and assist with developing, implementing and monitoring media, marketing and publicity strategies and plans. The applicant must be able to provide examples of marketing material (e.g. posters, flyers, logos, etc.) that they have designed.

This is a 10 month, full time internship, starting 1 September 2022. The successful candidate will receive a monthly stipend of R4 050 and additional training to further their professional growth.

Applicants must:
Be South African citizens from any ethnic group or gender identification
Be between the ages of 18 and 35 years
Have a minimum qualification of matric
Not have been employed in a full time position before
Have an eagerness to learn and proficient skills in computer programmes (Word, Excel, etc.), writing, communication and time management
Have experience in and a passion for the arts
