On 18 and 19 May 2023, the ‘Doors of Learning and Culture Shall be Open’ at Sibikwa Arts Centre, for Grade 12 learners from schools across Gauteng attending our Creative Industries Career Exhibition.
The Creative Industries Career Exhibition gives learners a chance to explore further education, training and career research, expanding their scope of post-schooling opportunities in the creative industries. A wide variety of institutions, ranging from universities, to arts NGOs engaged in vocational training, to colleges and other training and career development institutions, will provide learners experiential presentations, programme exhibitions and career guidance in the fields of creative arts, digital arts, social entrepreneurship and related sectors such as tourism and hospitality.
The exhibition space promises to be imaginative and exciting, encouraging learners to be motivated, enthusiastic and unlimited in their career choices. The space designed by Hubo Design, a young energetic architectural firm whose focus is on educational spaces, will have a central mobile created by the acclaimed artist, Usha Seejarim. The framework for the design is centred on doors, referring to the Freedom Charter’s principle that ‘The Doors of Learning and Culture Shall Be open’.
We look forward another innovative and impactful Creative Industries Career Exhibition at Sibikwa Arts Centre, 13 Liverpool Road, Benoni, on the 18 and 19 May 2023; 10h00 to 14h00.
